Sitting Exams at BWA
Mock exams at BWA are run following JCQ regulations as much as possible, to enable candidates to become familiar with the JCQ rules.
Mock exams are held during the Summer Term of Year 10, and during the Autumn and Spring Terms of Year 11.
The Summer exam season runs from May to the end of June each year, with JCQ Contingency Days throughout. Candidates must be available to attend exams up to and including the last Contingency Day, even if they do not have a timetabled exam.
The dates of the Contingency Days must be taken into consideration.
A personalised timetable will be given to candidates and made available to parents on MCAS in the Spring of Year 11.
We know it can be a stressful time during exams season. Please take a look at further information from the Gov website on exam pressure: Coping with exam pressure - a guide for students - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
Exam Results
Results will be available for collection on results day - Thursday 20th August 2026.
If you wish any other person (including family members) to collect your results on your behalf, you must give written authorisation to the Exams Officer (Miss Grimsley) or Miss Slinn before school breaks for the summer.
No results will be given out by telephone under any circumstances.
Certificates
Certificates are received by the school by the end of November/beginning of December.
A letter will be sent home when they are ready to collect so please make sure you keep the school informed if you move during this time.
