Barnes Wallis Academy

At Barnes Wallis Academy we aim to provide each and every one of our students with the guidance and support they need to excel.

Admissions

As an Academy in the David Ross Education Trust, we still operate under the Local Authority's admissions scheme.

The published admission number (PAN) is currently 112. (120 in year 7 from September 2022)

After this we allocate places based on the admissions criteria as outlined in the policy at the bottom of this page.

Transfers from Primary Schools to Year 7 are managed by Lincolnshire County Council. The County Council website also provides options for completing online admissions form for both normal and mid-year admissions.

Transport

If you think your child is eligible for school transport, please apply for transport as soon as you have your offer of a school place. Applications can be made online at the website below or a telephone application can be made by contacting the Customer Service Centre on 01522 782020.

Appeals

The procedures for appeals relating to admissions will be in accordance with all relevant legislation.

Appeals should be made directly to the school via the form below titled BWA Appeal form. 

Appeals should be sent to the Academy and papers will be passed onto the Legal Services.
